Gerrit leads short term professional development - ranging from weeklong institutes to hour long practice sessions. These sessions focus on a small range of applicable skills and always feature live practice. Recent sessions include, but are not limited to things like:

High impact workshops

Gerrit uses direct in-classroom demonstration of best practices, in-the-moment guidance and coaching, and one on one planning sessions to transform teacher approaches on the classroom level. Teachers working with Gerrit will see the effectiveness of given approaches live and with their own students.

Embedded in-classroom coaching

Gerrit works with teacher leaders to reform approaches to tier 1, 2 and 3 to ensure that all students are given structures and supports to make dramatic improvements in both reading and writing.
